showcase portfolio of Kim Brown freelance graphic designer web site designed for Actron Inc in Santa Clarita Southern California
Actron Inc. was one of the first sites that I designed (about 1996). They loved the "icky fly" I created that crawls around on the page, flicking his tongue and wings and rubbing his legs together.

Because of the "icky" nature of the industry fly born disease, fly control, etc. we wanted to try and add a little light heartedness to the site. We are working on the "bug joke" section of the site.

In addition to this site, I also created a training presentation on "Integrated Fly Management". The presentation was created in Flash and contains roughly 60 screens, but it is streaming so it begins to play quickly (If after a few seconds, you don't see the animation playing, that means you need to get the Flash plugin. It is a very small file, only about 200k.

The presentation is distributed free of charge from several sources. It can be obtained from Actron as a self running file on disk. Viewed as a streaming multimedia presentation via the Actron web site, and also as a free download from the University of Florida Entomology Department.

There is a hidden screen where you get to "squish the fly". See if you can find him!

This site is maintained by the Actron staff.
