The Oakbrook Chumash Interpretive Center was created to enhance the public's awareness
and understanding of the Chumash People native to Southern California, both historically
and culturally through a visual, verbal and hands on experience.

Oakbrook Chumash Interpretive Center
This was the first Web site I ever designed (way back in 1995).
I was going through the Graphic Design and Visual Communications program
at UC Santa Barbara. I needed to take some elective classes and saw a
class in HTML. I had NO idea what that was, but I was curious, so I took
it.
My assignment for the class was to design a small Web site for a nonprofit
organization. As a result of this site, I was offered an internship at
the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History, redesigning some of their
pages. My first paying client came as a result of the pages I did for
the Natural History Museum.
