showcase portfolio of Kim Brown freelance graphic designer program book designed for the Kathy Ireland Mothers and Daughters Tea in Los Angeles California

The Kathy Ireland Tea is an annual program where professional business women are paired with disadvantaged teenage mothers in Southern California. The Tea begins a mentoring relationship that will last at least one year and will provide support, guidance, and hope to the teen participants. I even had the honor of being invited to be a "Mentor Mom" to one of the girls.

The Tea includes workshops that address issues relevant to teen moms such as pre and post natal care, parenting, image and self esteem, business and health choices as well as personal and financial goals.

The Honorary Board for 1997 Consisted of Senator Barbara Boxer, Senator Diane Feinstein, Traci Bingham of Bay Watch, Congresswoman Maxine Waters, Senator Teresa Hughes, Rhonda Windham General Manager of the LA Sparks, and Marilyn Moretz of Moretz Mills. Honorary Chairwoman was Mrs. Gayle Wilson, First Lady of California.
